 Stainless bolts can be a bit soft depending on who manufactured them. I'd
use something you know is hard.

Is there any reason not to use stainless steel capscrews on a clutch
cover 
plate? The lightened flywheel I have has fine threads and all I have
lying 
around is some left overs from a TR6 SS bolt kit.
