I through-bolt square ones. Doesn't do much for vibration, but they don't
break.

Subject: [Fot] Motor mounts, round or square?

Last November Gary asked which was the preferred motor mount: the older round
style or the newer square style. There was some discussion but the
round/square question was never answered. We just broke a motor mount at
Grattan on the pot hole of the last turn. So now the question is of more
than
academic interest. The motor mounts we have are the square ones from Moss
and
we ran four events, including Grattan, before we had the failure.
The ones from Cambridge Motor Sports were highly regarded during the last
discussion but the cost at that time was about $80 compared to about $16 for
the round ones from Moss. Any input would be appreciated.
