Gareth was a well known UK triumph personality in the 80's and wrote a
triumph tuning book , based mostly on his spitfire tuning/race experiences.
i met him in the UK many years ago. I have been in touch with him recently,
and have his email if anyone needs it.

I believe his views were always controversial , but he seemed to be someone
who thought "outside the box". we all know that works sometimes, but often
not. He did a lot of work on the benefits of various exhaust designs, and i
have a 6 cyl set based on his results, which i have had a lot of success
with, over many years.

Whilst his book referred to a lot of flow testing, no substantial data seems
to have been ever published to support the claims. he kindly sent me some
data recently, in response to a very specific question about flow values for
a 2500 head.

i have also seen a lot of his negative comments about other peoples tuning
products.

My + 30 years of TR experiences tell me the bullshit stops when the flag
drops. The people who consistently are the front, usually have the best
products under the hood. if i want advice, i head in that direction.
