If the line from master cylinder to slave cylinder is rubber or braided
andcollapsed inside(will not be visible) the clutch won't work...or..it
will depress and not return

I've got a car with the same problem but it's been sitting for at least
15 years. Got the engine to fire no problem, but the clutch is frozen.
I tried all these ideas and more. Every idea I could find on the internet.
Nothing worked. The car is for sale as is.
