Stock Spit clutches even current heavy duty ones won't stand up to 7000 RPM.?
I don't know if its the state of materials used today due to EPA regs but I
ripped to pressure plate side friction material off a brand new one in less
than 20 laps.? Finally went to a custom Quarter Master racing clutch and
hydraulic release bearing which removed the release bearing and operating lever
from the system.? Took some fabrication and experimenting but solved the problem

A stock clutch came apart for me at an autocross about 25 years ago and looked
about the same as the one that Ted sent.? I don't recall if it was a DNF.? It
was a street car that I drove to the autoX.? Had to get a friend with a trailer
