The little PR for the ECTA is coming through my connections with the Hot
Rod world in California.... ( that's my Brother in Law.. he is the general
manager of a major Frame supplier) anyway it seems that the powers that be
in the Magazine community didn't see Eye to Eye with the overall
profitability of there publications and decided that to increase the bottom
line they would increase gross revenues by increasing the basic cost of
advertising....

To wit.... the powers that pay those bills... gave them a fairly healthy
send off.... in other words.... "Take a hike buckwheat"... so we have been
reduced to a lowly favor
from Rod and Custom I believe.... Hell we will see... I promise to beat
them all up at the next Street Rod Nationals in Louisville....

At this late date... I am thinking that we can still get some ink.. these
guys work about 3 months out though... it would take some effort but I
think it would be worth the effort.... I did talk to the owner at length
about changing his financial position with the Mags... by the way.... he
was unwilling to pay an additional 25% to subject himself to the
robbery....
