what is the capacity of the cooling system?

are you using a water tank?

radiator?

here's one thing to keep in mind.  water is ballast.  use it and use it
well.

the '34 has a 15 gallon tank.

the redhead only has about a 12 gallon tank.

we used the stock gas tank in the ranchero for water.
