Anybody know about the dynos that use electric load cells for
resistance? The must generate a lot of current, and than use a shunt? to load
generator? What if you drove electric motor with the power? Sort of like a
diesel-electric locomotive but more of a Nitro-electric liner. In a multi
engine car like Steen's it might make sense. No clutch or transmission or
rear drive. Engines can be set quite low in chassy without any weird gear
drives to rear end. Driver not in way of drive shaft. No clutch linkage or
shifter.
I'm going to call a friend that works in the
generator shop at United Air Lines.
