hi racers - i am chilled- but all cars should get a safety check of the
basics, and i'm talking basics here guys-BASICS !, newcomer or not, or else
why make the veterans wait in inspection lines in the first place. it
seems that this philosophy of "yeah , he runs all the time" is asking for
big trouble based on what slides thru on these safety inspections , this
stuff is obvious to a bystander here- i'm not talking picky or difficult
requirements, but , stuff like rollcage and limb restraint . is it that
these cars will now never be required to comply again. even a on a yearly
basis these veteran cars should go thru a quick, basic checkup for safety
requirements, or what else is there to keep guys from driving severly
unsafe cars at very high speeds ? as years go by and changes are made they
are never checked, or if something is missed on a new car inspection, it
will never be caught again because reinspection now is not necessary. now
i'd like to stop here and say that i have a deep appreciation for anyone
volunteering for inspections or anything else related to land speed. these
guys yes do have a tough job checking car after car after car in the hot
sun with all kinds of racers anxious to run instead of being out there
themselves, and i consider myself " very chilled" in talking about this.
all i'm saying is someone may get hurt or killed with the adoption of the
buddy system and car inspections where newcomers are held to stringent
requirements and veterans are not even held to the basics. stuff like
blatently inadequate non compliance rollcages which should have been caught
at least once sometime in the car's life of year after year of competition.
i'll drop this subject because i mean to offend nobody. thanks-

chilled regards to all-
