On the rarely disturbed Studebaker pickup project of mine an acquaintance of
mine gave me a Mustang 2 junker from which I removed everything from the
steering wheel to the tires. In my case I bought a Fatman Fabrications
installation kit but some people cut out the crossmember with all mounting
points intact and adept that to there frame. This will really get it down.
The other method it to use an early ('28-'48) ford axle and spring and
wishbones weld a mount to your front crosmember high enough to lower the
front to weed eater high and run it. This is the method used on my Vega.
Either way you get down and have suspension. The beam axle was a
lot easier, wish I did that to Stude.
