It was great to meet you, visit with you, and get to see your awesome
Camaro.
You were introduced to the sport in a very real way. Speed at Bonneville
has its pitfalls, but you bounced back like a pro! Can't let those minor
conflicts defeat you. I speak from experience, forty plus years and I'm
still breaking my toy.
To answer your questions, Yes if you set a record at the World of Speed
it would qualify you for the 200 MPH Club if it exceeds the minimums set
by the 200 MPH Club. Some years back the 200 MPH Club Board of Directors
decided that there were too many records, (open and otherwise) that were
unrealistic. For instance an A Class record that was lower than a D
Class record in the same body classification. They established minimum
speeds required in each class for entry into the Club. I have these
