hey keith, if its horsepower (and ultimately speed) youre looking for, why
not step up to a rat motor, it would be a very easy conversion for your
camaro, the engines are more "bulletproof", parts are readily available,
and for a targeted horsepower the overall engine package would be alot
simpler, and probably cheaper.
- then again, why not a twin turbo rat ? - careful !!!

p.s.- dont forget the drivetrain's integrity and the cost to make it
capable of handling high horsepower safely - more $$$
