Joe: my name is really Doug. I used the seudonym "Joe Boogie" 'cause I
did'nt want the whole world to know my real name when I first signed up with
hotmail....."You can Call me Doug or Joe" but not late for dinner! Yes Hop
Up Magazine online is cool. A lot of good reading about the people and
phylosophy of Hot Rodding with a little less on actual "nuts & bolts" which
is ably handled elsewhere. Its also new online every month (in case you
didnt know....) Also due (overdue?) any day now is a printed Annual like
the old "Trend books" from the '50s which hopefully should be extra special.
The editor/owner of it, Mark Morton, asked me to write an article
about Traditional style Northeastern Rodding and I provided him with 2000 &
some words and 20 or so photos of some great representative cars from New
England and NY. He complemented me on the work and I am looking forward to
seeing it in print -hopefully intact! About 10 others were to write similar
pieces about their respective parts of the country as well so I'm hopeful
that it will indeed turn out special.
