Keith Turk Enterprise Alabama...(Ft Rucker) Been following Land speed
racing about 20yrs or so.... and became actively involved when Tommy Cox and
Maynard Parker introduced me to the ECTA at Moultrie Ga....
Went to Bville the first time in 98 to gain some insight on how to build a
Modifed Sports car and ended up buying the Camaro for a Song and Spent the
last year racing it every meet since with the ECTA.... Setting Records at
all but the first two.... Top speed at Maxton with the Carmaro has been
180.361mph with the 296cubic inch D motor.
Dragged it out to Bville in 99 and went 189.364mph with a calculated Speed
out the back at 198mph.... All this on a tuneup pass... blew the motor up on
the first real run.
Got into the Two club on the East Coast driving Paul Chism's XJ-S at
200.758mph (twin turbo'ed Rodec 388 cu in. )
Was supposed to go pick up the Modifed sports body today but the logistics
didnt work out.... I am going to start building the modifed Sports here this
year and continue to gain experience racing by running the Camaro....
I have owned a Rock Business for the last four yrs, where we made a Veneer
stone Product for the Building industry... and I am a retired CW4 instructor
Pilot in the Apache Attack helicopter
That about Sums me up in a nut shell.... sure would be glad to hear others
