Doug,
I'm sure if Terry Nish or Alan Strasburg were on the list they would be
welcoming you to the joys of having their sons participate with them in the
sport. Terry and his three boys are all 2 Club members and he offered Alan
a ride in the 444 'liner to try to get him into the 2 Club to join his four
boys. Jim Burkdoll finished his 'liner, started before his dad's death and
has his wife and son have both qualified for the 2 Club in the car. Larry
Volk has one son in the 2 Club with him and they have been working to get a
second one in. That's the majority of the 2 Club members in Utah. With
that kind of family success I am sure they all would echo your sentiment and
pride in having family involved in such a great way. When you watch Bill
Burke (who is eighty-one and racing the twentieth car he has brought to the
salt) and his grandsons enjoying the comraderie with other racers on the
salt you know that those famillies love and will pass on their love for this
sport. Salt fever is great!
