The problem with race cars and car shows is race cars are usually in pieces
until they are on the trailer on the way to a race. We beg, borrow and
slide in something beautiful at shows but you never can depend on a car.
Last year we were supposed to have the Vesco's Turbinator here for the Salt
Lake Auto Show ... new paint and all. The fiberglas resin leaked through
the paint in some places and they took the car back to Texas for a repaint
instead. Terry Nish was committed to a display for Royal Purple with the
444 'liner and we ended up with some nice cars but not the swoopy
streamliners we had hoped for. Can't blame the car owners, they have to
work to their schedules.
