I always thought it was measure with a digital micrometer, mark with a
crayon, and cut with an axe.

Now ya see, you had to bring this back out.  I'm sure this is the same kind 
of thinking that a couple of guys who had a shop called "Outhouse 
Engineering" had.  They were into circle track racing and on the back of one

of their trailer was the words, "Measure with a yard stick, mark it with
some 
chalk, cut it with a torch."  Now that I think about it, is there any better

way?
