Friction, apparently, is considerably reduced after proper break in. Good
used gearsets are therefore perfect for our type of racing.

Personally when it comes to rear ends I think we typically put way to much
emphasis on gear efficiency. Yes there is a difference, but it's only a few
HP at best. My own experience with a large style Quickchange, which some
consider to be the least efficient choice, is that having the proper gear
ratio is far more important than it's supposed inefficiency.

If we all did our home work I think we would find that transmission
inefficiency is the real big driveline HP robber.
