I vote for whoever on the list, if that is the criteria,
that has accomplished the most in the last year,  2 or 3
cars/bikes.. Top 2 or top 3 whatever.. Biggest increase in a
record fastest speed for a whatever.. Consecutive records
since on the list .. pick something that is from results..
Seems as though it would encourage personal achievement
rather than a popularity contest..
My 1/4 cent worth..
