Approx. .5 lbs fuel per HP per hour. Soooo, 600 HP X .5  = 300  /60 = 5 lbs per
minute. 2 min. run : 2 X 5 = 10 / 6.2 = 1.6 gal per run. (6.2 is approx. weight
of a gal. of fuel) So, you will have no problem on the short course, and could
make it on the long course,  assuming your fuel pick-up can empty the tank. (I
would go with 3 gal or more to allow for future HP upgrades)
