Folks,
Any more' tire ideas?? I need another source for tires.
I have spoken to Shelby in Az. and to Mickey Thompson and they do NOT make
the tire I need.
Background: I am putting together a 85 Vette for D/GT and am in the
process of putting a Ford 9" rear-end in the car. Well, life is a LOT
simpler if I go with a 24" tall tire in terms of getting ride height, etc.
where I want it. If I run a 26"~ 27" tall tire, then the butt of the car
is too high unless I do lots of MAJOR surgery to frame, etc. to get the car
to sit down properly.
Anyway, trying to avoid the major surgery, I am looking for a 24" tall tire
with a 6.5" ~ 7.0" wide tread. I could' run 14 to 16 inch rims in the
back (got the room) but that doesn't seem to help with my options.
Any ideas of other sources to check?
