Doug,
       I'll measure a couple of blocks plus my 28 Sedan-Delivery today. A 
good rule of thumb on the early Ford hoods was that they equaled the year 
designation. I.E. a 28 would have a 28" hood. I know that my 27 had a 27" 
hood to start with before we lengthened it 3"....................Ardun Doug
