Thanks for the feedback.  Essentially, my combo is somewhat similar to
Keiths - big block chevy, 6 spd, short wheelbase car.  Except mine is a old
vette which should have a bit better front/rear weight distribution.  I've
got the stock vette duck tail spoiler which I figure should be close.  It
will give me some down force at speed but not much drag getting up there.
The Goodyear G-7 Blue Streaks do have some fine grooves in them but they
are not very deep at all.  I mentioned the width in my previous post
because I think this combo can handle them.  But as with any new
combination you have to get it out and try it to really know.  So what was
too wide for the Black Radon camaro??  I always thought too wide would
adversely affect rolling resistance but not to the point where it would
create a traction problem.
