i agree. i want more of these types of ramblings. it is verbal history and
it brings me back in time. i graduated from Monroe high in the Sand fernando
valley. my dad kept his stearman at whitman airport. we used to wander
around the airport looking for the old planes. At van nuys airport where my
dad kept some of his planes there was a p??something? air cobra at the end
of the parking area. we used to climb on it and play like we were bailing
out!. i missed the drags, my dad was an airplane nut and not into cars, so
needless to say we never went to the drag races. we went to just about every
air race and airplane gathering around instead.
