Keith my man, DO you know HOW
much its gunna mean when you do the deed
and it "all goes well" and the 2 club guys
come in hordes to impound to welcome you
into the 200mph club???

It is simply exactly experiences like you just
had that will make you look at the mountains
at the end of your return run, and think about
what you have been through to get to that point...
nothing given to you, and a tear or two shed between
you the salt the mountains, awaiting your crew to arrive

that is what it was for me, and I am sure you
anticipate as well, it simply amazes me what
Bonneville asks for at times, and amazes me more
what folks are willing to give....

BE PROUD my man, your book is being filled
with pages of substance....all part of the experience

notables during the week for me include:
-Terry Hunt showing up from Guam
making runs with NO tach (broke) and
setting record 228 plus.no broken parts
-Chris Harris coming BACK to the
salt since breaking his neck in 88
..building a car..grooming his son
to pilot it..running 208plus..going home
with a smile a mile long..no broken parts
-Ed Van Scoy making it look easy..2 runs
one record over 220..intact motor
-Vesco 459 final mile..30mph over
the all time wheel driven record..
and NOT going to impound
-Jack Costella running 249plus
without high gear...
-Little bro Jonathon making his first
runs down the salt
-Nafzger 300plus and far from having
it all sorted out...wow

OK gotta stop...the whole damn week
was NOTABLE...its BONNEVILLE

Joe :) :)
