Subject: First time to the Flats
Hello-
On Thur, 20 Sept, I will be taking my 14 year old son and his best friend to
Wendover for our first taste of Land Speed Record Attempts. I'm looking to
learn from past experience: What do we take with us from SLC?
Water/ice/cooler? Binoculars? Shade? What time do we leave our hotel?
Where is a good place to position? How long can we expect to stay- our 1st
day?
We will also be staying over Friday night, so we don't have to do a burn-out
1st day. How would some of you do your 1st experience if you could over
again? What can we glean from your past success and/or mistakes?
