Hi Folks, word has just reached me from reliable sources that the
Evans-Osborn Ardun XXF/GR Gas Roadster set a new Ardun Gas Roadster
Record in the 170s, with a best speed one way of 184 mph, at World
Finals at Bonneville a few days ago. This would be an increase on
Willie Glass' official record for the class of 167 just set at Speedweek
last August.

The car used the same Ardun, with the new Orosco/Ferguson repro heads,
that Monte Osborn has been running in his '37 Ford Tudor to Bonneville
records. The engine was built by Ron Furtado Machine in San Jose, CA.
This 184 mph is quite a spectacular speed for Ardun Gas Roadster class.

If and when anyone on the list knows the exact official record figures,
please let us know. Cheers, Ardun Bill
