I have a couple laser pointed as you speak of they are very accurate as
far as im concerned.
both of mine, one goes to 300 degrees, and the other one goes to 500
degrees. The 500 degree one was around $275, I puchased both from
Snap-On. Im sure you can find them somewhere cheaper than that I would
think.. I think you can now get one that goes to 800-900 degrees not
sure on cost..
Not sure if its very good for what you want, but maybe. I dont know what
your egt's would be at idle.
