Yes, this does help. I thought Dexcool might be a trade name for propylene
glycol-- that stuff is used in some industrial & military cooling systems.

Hey Neil,   

Dex cool is an ethylene glycol "silicate free" coolant that is suppose to
increase water pump life by not eating away at the water pump seal and
believe it or not be non corrosive to aluminum!!!   I am a professional auto
mechanic and I am having some serious doubts about it's claimed performance.
You can identify it by it's pink color or orange for Havoline's version of
Dex cool.
