Snocross In Horse Race At Canterbury Downs
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The AMSOIL/Scheuring Snocross Team moves west to Aspen, CO
for the ESPN Winter X-Games. Last year the team brought
back a bronze medal with a great performance by DJ Eckstrom.
This year Eckstrom and Justin Tate will together compete in
snocross and hillcross competitions.
The team goes to the games after a series of successful finishes. The
latest WSA event had the team running for roses at Canterbury Downs

Team AMSOIL Supercross Has Best Night Ever
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three years ago AMSOIL was introduced to Rick Zielfelder.
Zielfelder had a veteran rider and a desire to put together
a competitive motorcycle race team. That rider is two-time
National Champion and World Champion Mike LaRocco.
Together AMSOIL and LaRocco have created a standard of
excellence and define the idea of high performance.
Edison Field in Anaheim, in the shadow of Disneyland, was the
backdrop for a parade to the podium for riders. Read the details

LaRocco Leads Team Down I-5 To San Diego
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A week removed from the single greatest night in
Team AMSOIL history, the team made the short trip
down Highway 5 to San Diego, California and round two
of AMA/EA Sports supercross. Mike LaRocco, Travis Preston,
Michael Byrne and Chris Gosselaar made podium appearances,
but still left a little room for improvement. The team was confident
and knew they were hitting on nearly all cylinders.
The team raced hard with very positive results. LaRocco again
proved why he has to be a favorite to top the supercross

Good-bye TAURUS, Hello American Dream
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An era came to an end with the new year. The AMSOIL
"TAURUS The Bull" monster truck is no more. Dave
Turpen retired the popular truck after 2001. It was a
difficult business decision, but one he found ultimately
necessary.
Patriotism rang out as Turpen drove out "The American Dream"
for its first competition in front of a raucous Bossier City, LA
crowd. The new AMSOIL truck didn't disappoint.
