Dick there is a big difference in the quality of a Lincoln Weld Pac welder
and the SP 135 your talking about.... I have a SP 100 which is identical
except it's 10yrs old and the power supply is Just a tick less then the
135's..... ( basically identical according to Lincoln ) they keep upgrading
little things but the bottom line is the Weld Pac is a Hobbiest special that
is like comparing a China made welder to one made in the USA or Canada....
The SP series is just that much better.... Yeah it may cost a tick more but
mine is still a great little welder after many years of Hard service....
I'm not sure a Weld Pac would still be here....
This isn't like comparing Craftsman tools to Snap on either.... Snap-on are
just prettier...they don't work any better or longer in practice and are
much less prone to theft...
I'd strongly recommend spending the money up front on the Mig welder...
