Notes: This is the same combination of left- and right-side tires Goodyear
brought to Las Vegas in 2001 . . . both the NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch
Series will use the same tires this weekend . . . other NASCAR tracks where
teams will compete on this same combination this season are Bristol,
Darlington and Rockingham . . . that means Winston Cup teams will run these
tires four times in over a five-week stretch, beginning last weekend at
Rockingham . . . next week at Atlanta (March 8-10) will be the exception to
that . . . as on all ovals longer than one mile, teams are required to run
inner liners in all four tire positions at Las Vegas . . . inner liner
inflation should be 12-25 psi higher than that of the outer tire.

Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Tire Development: "
Many Winston Cup and Busch Series teams tested at Las Vegas during an open
house session in January, and this tire combination performed very well.
Two
other things teams have going for them with these tires are that they ran
this same combination during the 2001 race weekend at Las Vegas, and that
they just ran them again last weekend at Rockingham. Because Las Vegas is
the fastest of the four tracks in this particular tire grouping - which also
includes Rockingham, Darlington and Bristol -- the air pressure
recommendation is slightly higher than at the other three tracks.
