Hmmm.  

So if I have a plain old roll bar the bolts to the car on each side - it's 2
point?

A roll bar with 2 additional bracing tubes going back would be 4 point?

And if the cage is part of the integral frame structure of the car (special
construction), then points don't matter at all?

the number of "points of attachment" ie: where the cage meets the car.
