Hi Bryan,
Sure did work. I used Champion Fine wire electrode plugs on blown gas
engines to get to the initial jetting several times. I missed the setup
jetting on three specific occasions. Two at car drags and one at boat
drags. Each time the bypass was what the injector guys said to start with
and each time the fine wire plugs had the "fine wire" burned off of them.
Saved the pistons (and rings) each time. Richened it about 10% and it was
close........then installed the cheaper plugs. Not a bad "fuse".
I don't know if it is foolproof but it worked for me (so it must be close).
