You experts out there...
Speed did an excellent job of covering the 24 hours of LeMans. My question
is about the 27 cars still running at the end of the race. Audi finished
1-2-3, Bentley finished fourth then more Audis. Corvette won their category
1-2. A Porsche team won their category. This accounts for nine or so of
the 27 finishers.
Was the race always down to this few finishers in the past?
