Well Dave and I had some fun this weekend trying to sort out what was
different about the car and the Dyno.... the motor was tuned perfectly and
ran that way until it got in the higher RPM ranges and then it just started
shooting ducks...... it was jetted rich intentionally for the last Dyno
pulls and I left it on the safe side.... so last pass we pulled some jet out
and it finally ran better but still had some difficulty in the upper RPM
range..... Dave of course is sitting in Conneticutt scratching his noodle
trying to figure out what in the world was wrong.... Finally on the way
home he called me and asked me about an RPM switch we are using to limit the
Nitrous from kicking in prior to 7000 rpm..... I got so excited I pulled
over on the side of the road and went and looked.... YEP.... damn thing is
wired to come on even if the button wasn't pushed.... in other words... it
was a " Or " deal rather then and " And " connection.... EASY FIX.... and
the motor ran perfect up to that rpm.... so we're real happy to find
that..... The Perfect confirmation came when I got to my next re-fuel stop
and pulled out the Lap Top and went into the last run.... YEP... the EGT's
go away at 7100 rpm.... PERFECT.... so a simple change in the wiring and
life is Good....

Other then that... I did a bunch of suspension testing.... hit it really
hard off the line and sorted out what it was going to do with the tires
spinning... ( straight as an arrow Thanks to Joe...) We also had an
opportunity to do some super quality chassis squaring and front end
alinement work at John Becketts school where he teachs in NC.... awesome
place with more tools then all of us could use.....

just a Very busy weekend with both cars and getting ready for
Bonneville..... but I think the car is basically ready in the set up
department now for the fine tuning and building a belly pan to run the car
in Comp Coupe.... shouldn't be to big an issue in comparison to the last 6
weeks.
