Hi Bill and list,Over here in Ireland there is no straight line high speed
events like Maxton or Bonniville. Its mainly consists of race tracks like
Limerock etc, short tarmac 1/4 mile ovals and both racing for bikes on closed
public roads as Bill mentioned and rally's for cars on closed public roads or
on forest tracks. The car rallys are against the clock with the top drivers in
WRC cars like Impreza's and Lancer Evo VII costing $500,000 to purchase and
nearly the same again to fund for the season!!We have no drag race tracks, but
again public roads are closed and there are a few events for moter bikes
only. The quickest bikes tend to run in the low 9's.Regards Micky in
Dublin,Ireland.
