For a while drag folks were using something called hydrazine (sp?), 'tell it
was banned.  I've seen pictures of dragsters in the lights with the pans
glowing red and REALLY big flames from the headers.  Doubt it'd be the thing
for lakes racing though ...

little. Rather than
                octane what can be mixed with gasoline to give a HP boost? I
want to try
                something else other than N2O in a fuel class.
                What will propylene oxide do?
                What about nitro propane?
                Nitromethane through a carb?
                What else is there?
