WE haven't entered the Twilight Zone just yet. Actually, these devices are
no more "anti-gravity" than a helicopter. Power input= lift.

This has been around for a while. I actually started gathering the parts
needed for building it. You can order the kit online:

It works by applying a high-voltage to the air particles using the flyback
transformer from an old monitor (do not try this at home ... you will zap
yerself with 20,000 volts plus). The charged air then ionizes (splits out
the molecules) causing a pressure wave. The triangular "vehicle" (made of
light balsa and Mylar foil) is light enough to ride on the ionized air and
floats up 2-3 feet. The vehicle is "tethered" to the power source with a
thin wire.

So far, the inventor has been able to levitate a vehicle of about 4' across
max.
