Good to hear you and yours are safe & sound. Those were some nasty fires.
When those gum trees go up they go hot & fast.

                wes
those fires I suspect they made the news over there ? worst
fires in my
experence ever and I've been in the business of fire
fighting and protection
for many years Canberra is my home town actually I live on
a rural
property spme 30 miles away 560 homes and properties
destroyed and 6 lives
lost I spent 9 days fighting them just back a few days I
lost some fences
and sheds but other wise ok typical conditions our worst
drought ever
tinder box dry temps between 100 to 112 deg winds of 50-70
mph humidity less
than 5% they are still burning in there 3rd week now but
not near us any
more oh the fire front reached a length of several hundred
miles at one
stage. This has put back my attempts this year but at least
my family and
                home are ok thank God
                Gary
