Jack,

Thanks for the information on the Ferrari power for 333.

I knew I remembered something unique from the past with that car.  Nice to
have my suspicions verified.   BUT it was one noisy unit when it ran and you
could hear it shut off from the start when it exited the time traps.

On the Markley DeSoto in the Hoffman Metal Products liner and roadster ...
what a jewel of an engine!  Bones did a job on that one!  I watched the
canopy stay put as the car headed for Floating Island into the crunchies
from the timing tickets tent at WOS.  That was at something over 380 mph.
The next morning they were still digging salt out of the front wheel wells
... and I have photos of that and the snapped tether to back up my story.
That little engine sure doesn't sound like just over 300 cubes.
