Doesn't sound like anything non-production or against any rules I'm aware of.

The class is well defined and constrained. However, the rule book leaves
out some finessing of the suspension system.

On later model cars the front sub-frame (or clip) as well as the rear
sub-frame are bolted in a NON-rigid manner with rubber biscuits to isolate
the body. While the frame must be stock and in stock location the roll cage
must be welded to it. Can these sub-frames be welded to strengthen them and
to provide a rigid base for the roll cage? Can the front and rear sub-frames
be connected to each other (on a uni-body car) by welding in additional
tubing? Can the rubber parts be replaced with solid metal parts? Many
