I have desperately tried to keep politic's and religion off of the list....
and for the most part have been successful.... We as a collective group of
people have one thing in common... and that is land speed racing... so
opinions and attitudes really don't have much of a place here on the list...
We have conserative's, liberals, Cristians, agonostic's and whatever.... so
trying to appease everyone on average it's best simply to refrain........
ALL that having been said.... I'm going to break my own guideline....
I have tremendous respect for anyone who has put his life in harm's way for
the principles we hold near and dear as free democratic society's... and I
want to include our Dear freinds in England and Austrailia ... I know some
of you don't want us to be involved in this whole affair... well such is
life.... get over it...we have committed to doing it and our boys are going
to be in harms way yet again.... this time is going to be different...
how... I don't know... it's just not going to be the same... We as a
collective society have a debt to them to support them in the endevor...
like it or not.... they are simply the folks that are taking the real risk
here.
I want to share something really brief.... I heard way to many times that we
should have ousted Saddam the first time.... BUT that wasn't our mandate...
our job was to free Kuwait...and we did.... I've sat there on the Highway
of Death... in an Apache the day of the cease fire and seen a defeated
Army.... shooting folks carrying white flags isn't the way we are built...
and to have gone on at that point would have been to kill many many
countless innocent folks.
Today when I watched the people of Iraq celebrate the destruction of the
World trade towers in an old clip on CNN I wanted to throw up.... it's
time... right wrong or indifferent we now have a debt to our troops...
