There is more to test then just the motor's tune up... for example Joe has
built a bunch of tune-ability into my chassis via the four link rear
suspension.

Currently I've set it where Joe thought it oughta be... I'd like to start
testing the accleration rates for several given 4 link locations... how
each adjustment will aid or subtract in the given performance at each point
in the track. I can not only measure this in the time it takes for the
acceleration but from the histogram of the accelerometers... knowing how
hard the car is pushing in that exact rpm range....

Dave and I were chatting the other day and he was curious how much the belly
pan and rear chines actually helped the drag on the car... so this next meet
we are going to make some runs to test that .... belly pan on and off...
should be interesting to see the results... it will help us to define the
class we are going to run at Bonneville this year... Altered Vs Comp Coupe.

Lastly John and I have talked about doing some coast down runs to determine
the actual Drag of the car... If I stick a Temp probe in the rear end to
measure Gear oil Temp.... I could maintain better control of a set of
data...

The options here to test a car are limited only by your imagination and the
desire to know a particular car and it's capablitites..... even thou I'm not
going to run the Camaro much longer.... I can still use it as a test bed to
gather information.... which will be useful down the road on future
projects...

Keith ( and trust me ... I'm still clueless... I just have more data to
prove it is all )
