Well this may not have to do with lsr but last night was the Night of Fire and
Thunder at Bandimere Speedway here is Denver. So I took my wife and a friend
and his wife and went up there.
WOOOOOOOO.
I have not really been much exposed to drag racing scene but our friends at
Mountain States Automation who also race at Bonneville were running the Fast
16 class.
We had the enjoyment of several funny cars and the ever thrilling Jet
Dragsters. I know this is old school for many of you and most just call them
"Weiner Burners" but it was very thrilling. Even had some Snowmobiles
running.
My wife was in amazement. She was not paying attention when the first Funny
Car went and about wet herself. She commented that she didnt like the burnouts
they did because it made her eyes water, no honey thats called "Nitro". The
fastest car that went was a Snap On Funny Car at 294. She was very thrilled
with no event so we are going back when Mile High Nationals comes thru and the
Jet Dragster only event hits.
a 6 second Blown Hayabusa went best he could do was 7.01 at about 192 mph. He
really wanted that 6 sec at 200mph.
Snowmobiles around 10 sec quarters around 110 mph.
Just a great fun night. Just thought I would share with my lsr friends.
