Hell, folks -- this is the guy that wouldn't let us past the end of the road
'til we had bought a(nother) pin and sticker -- even when I kinda hoped
there'd be one waiting for us at registration. He's the fella that protects
our race vehicles from vandals and bad guys and those who don't like us --
and it is our chance to thank him for doing his damndest absolute best. And
best of all, he remembers each and every one of us and greets us like we
were the best friend he has. He's probably the best PR guy that Salt Racing
has! And he's the first guy you see when you arrive there -- no doubt the
most welcome face, the most happy helper we'll ever have.
Send a card to him, too -- Nancy and I have, and will again. And I wish him
Godspeed to be there this year (and every year) when we arrive at the Salt.
