Usually they have a quick profile of the car and or crew and the tracks
etc..

I think you guys missed my comment that that information is probabally
unavailable from 1990 on back. Records in the book are as far back as 1956.
I
don't think that a record reference book with incomplete info is of any
value.
There are also rules and class changes thru the years thast would have to be
documented in order to make the data understandable.

SCTA record data is not very good. The information gathered for each record
was not very complete they were only interested in the speeds and class.
When
the class structure began to expand to what is now 580+ car classes the need
very more accurate info was required. This slowly took place until we now
have
what we do. I don't think taht what we gather is complete enough for a
referrence book though.

Maybe when I retire?

How annual books do each of you purchase?
