The actual pass down the salt was a pure joy.... I knew it was cranking out
the number and when I went through the 2nd mile between the 3-4 there was
little doubt I'd set the record.... and Yep.... I was literally yelling to
myself .... like when I soloed a Helicopter the first time.... awesome
experience to be coasting down looking out on where your going to turn off and
seeing Cris and Ed there.... and yeah there were some tears... why not.... it
was a very emotional experience... Seth and Tanis Hammond.... Scottie Guthrie
and eventually the crew.... what a performance by all of them.....
So Dave reminds all of us celebrating we still got to get to Impound and see
Uncle Dan..... I really was doing well right up to the point that Dan
Certified the record and handed me that silly piece of paper.... how many
times had I dreamed of that moment.... so Yes I was speechless.... kinda hard
to talk with all that in your throat... and of course Brad and Joe Timney were
there as well as Tom Bryant.... I made The Two Club give me Tom's Hat just
because he's been such an inspiration as a man.... I wanted my first two club
hat to come from him.... Basically it has to do with the perspiration he's put
into that hat and a bunch more like it keeping this whole experience alive so
a guy like me can still dream of becoming a member of the Two Club...
