Neil,

Carbon-X is an approved fabric.  Nomex chars in 10 seconds, Carbon-X in
sixty seconds.  The better makers are offering it.  It's not cheap, a suit
costs over $,1000 ... how much does a hospital stay for third degree burns
cost?
