Hi List,

something to Craig Breedlove.

Correct is, that he married 3-4 months ago a Mexican girl and now he stays the
most of the year in Mexico. Also correct is that the car stand in parts in the
Rio Vista shop and some guys starts to clean them up. But also correct is, that
to August/September 2002 Craig was in the hope to get a sponsorship from the
California National Guard - I guy named George W. Bush destroyed this hope with
some activities in fare east.....
In 97, John Ackroyed never got a chance to modify the car properly, due to this
that the 97 SoA version was rebuild with a very bad rear wheel outrigger which
lift up the car by around 450 mph. John discused this problem with me at Black
Rock. At last he done some small changes - which was possible to do in the
Black Rock work shop - to give Craig at last a chance to run a 636 mph.
The biggest problem was, that Craigs crew chief ignored every comments that he
has to straighten the car after the 96 crash - in 97 the car was 12 inches out
of the alignment.
In 2001 the car was redesigned and computer simulated check for 800+. This 800+
is a reachable target for the new design and not a dream.

To Walt Sheehan - he done nothing on the SoA Sonic Arrow - the 96/97 car -
design/aerodynamic - he was at Bonneville and at Black Rock as a old friend of
Craig Breedlove.
Correct is, that from Walt and two of his friends was the Three Wheeler idea
which Craig used for his first SoA. After the first, unsuccessful attempt in
1962, it was Stan Goldstein who works in Military Windtunnel in Monterey (he
was to this time in the Army) the successful aerodynamic of the Three Wheeler
out. Stan done not only the aerodynami - together with some specialist from the
Air Force - he was also the Craigs Team Manager for the 1962-65 and 1996
attempt.

When Craig was inducted in to Dry Lake Racers Hall of Fame in Buellton, CA, it
was Stan who gave him the ring.

At last, if Craig would get a sponsor to run the car at Black Rock (?) he would
only manage the attempt - to his onwn words - he feel to old to run again - so
he will look for a driver so as Richard Noble done it.

See ya
